In expert paws at the Mandarin Oriental Paris

There are two bowls in the room as a welcome gift, the name of the four-legged friend is embroidered on the dog blanket, there are welcome treats, a stuffed animal and a paw-print signed greeting card from the Vice President of Pet Relations at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Paris: his name is Archie, he is a nine-year-old border terrier and he is responsible for ensuring that dogs feel at home everywhere in this luxury hotel. Only the spa and the starred restaurant “Sur Mesure” are off limits.

Instead, there is a room service menu especially for the canine companions and the possibility to go to the restaurant ‘Camélia’. Either way, the dog menus are also designed and prepared by Michelin star chef Thierry Marx and his team – be it chicken breast with basmati rice or beef fillet with steamed seasonal vegetables.

Archie’s master is Philippe Leboeuf, who is not only director of the Mandarin Oriental Paris, but was also awarded Best Independent Hotelier of the World in 2018. His goal: His house is to be the most dog-friendly luxury hotel in Paris – because that also makes the owner happy.
